EMF Board meeting and course inspection SNC/SEC course in Antwerp/Belgium |

EMF Board members gathered for a personal meeting last weekend (16th – 18th March) in Antwerp / Belgium. Only sport-director Günter Schwarz was absent for personal reasons. With president Victor Condeco, secretary general Marcus Wüthrich, finance manager Michael R. Sølling and media manager Reinhard Neitzke rest of the board was complete.
The following points were discussed:
· Reports were given about the different departments
· Applications of future championships
· Preparation of Championships 2012
· Budget and media discussion
· Preparation of delegates conference 2012 Porto / Portugal
· Discussion about the existing annual reports 2012
Discussions are always hard but fair and constructive. Nice to see that board members from four different countries are able to find good conclusion although opinions are not always the same.
Nestled in the meeting was the inspection of minigolf course in Rozemaai where the next Seniors European Championships will be held in August 2012. Raymond Leemans, secretary general of the club guided us to the course in Rozemaai, a quarter of Antwerp. The course is in quite good condition although it is already 30 years old. Some small changes have to be done until August but all in all it will be a challenging course for the seniors.
The whole space on course is quite narrow with the advantage that players and coaches have to run little. Considerateness will be very important. On the other hand there is a lot of space for tents, a nice coffee bar where the opening and ending ceremony will be held. At least the seniors can look forward to a very enthusiastic host. |

The European Cup 2011 was held in Vergiate / Italy. The organization team of GSP Vergiate led by Guido Mattaini and Ermes Franchini worked very well to build a great event. The approx. 120 players of the 8 ladies- and 13 men-teams found a well prepared concrete course, which is not easy to play.

On the 20th and 21st November 2011 the complete EMF board took part in a meeting in Berlin, Germany's. In a very constructive way EMF President Victor Condeco (Portugal) led the meeting in cold and foggy Berlin. Meanwhile the meeting was not cold and foggy. Many discussions were had, some of them hard and critical, but most of the time the board agreed. The discussions were respectful and concerned with finding a common position. The way meetings should be.
